Icehouse Ventures' First Cut Roadshow & Careers of the Future

New Zealand-based venture capital firm Icehouse Ventures is hosting two exciting events in Wellington for young founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students with an interest in venture capital or the tech startup ecosystem.

First Cut Roadshow:

First Cut (powered by Icehouse Ventures) is Aotearoa’s community for aspiring entrepreneurs and founders under the age of 30. Whether it’s to learn, pitch for investment, stay up to date, or join a community of like-minded people – this community is for everyone interested in entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem.

In May, we’ll be kicking off our flagship event – i.e., First Cut Roadshow - where we’ll visit different cities in New Zealand to host in-person speaker sessions & networking opportunities. Details for the Wellington event are below:

• When: Monday 20th May, 4-7pm

• Where: Whisky & Wood (Te Aro)

• What: Hear from an epic founder panel consisting of Leighton Roberts (Sharesies), Ratu Mataira (OpenStar), Kat Lintott (Wrestler), and Lucy Blakiston (Sh*t You Should Care About) who will all share learnings from their entrepreneurial journey to spark inspiration and motivation for your own business idea. In addition to the panel, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other young founders over dinner.

An event designed to showcase how epic it is to work in a fast-growing Kiwi startup.

• When: Tuesday 21st May, 5-7pm

• Where: Creative HQ (Te Aro)

• What: Hear from, and network with, Anna Liumaihetau Darling (Sharesies), Brandon Palmer (Hnry), Meiken Bassant (Eightwire) & Ben Taylor Bryant (OpenStar). Gain insight into what pursuing a career in a world-changing startup is like, and maybe even land your dream job (all of these epic startups are hiring!).
